A Gift Fic

I've been meaning to put a link to this delightful fic for a couple of days. It's a lovely thing - containing one of my favourite, favourite things, which is Draco Malfoy being taken down a peg. It also contains house-elves, wizarding culture and a fine, dry wit.

What makes it even more fun for me is that tree_and_leaf did it in response to a very silly and thoughtless prompt I dashed off ages ago and promptly forgot...

And if you like Supernatural, you will enjoy the three drabbles that ignipeshas written - there's one about Sam and Dean writing terrifying children's stories, and a short, poignant drabble on Dumbledore not visiting someone. Probably...

I appreciated the links, particularly the one to the Draco story. This is the first post-war fic I've read (SO out of the loop), and it makes me realise that the ending of the books actually gives us more, not less, places to go...

Personally I feel that there's lots of great fun to be had with post-war fics - though people on my friends-list haven't been that prolific either. Who knows, perhaps when I have more time and "Sherlock Holmes and the Ravenclaw Codex" is done...
