Meme Time Again
Jun. 12th, 2007 05:22 pmSince nobody's nibbling at the dancing carrots (OK, they are something of an acquired taste), I'm falling back on that old standy - a meme! Bet you didn't see that one coming...
This one's about Star Trek, which always good news.

Oh well, could have been worse. At least I wasn't Jonathan Archer or Counsellor Troi.

Date: 2007-06-12 04:55 pm (UTC)And I don't even like Earl Grey tea!

Date: 2007-06-13 10:25 am (UTC)Don't worry - it's Picard who drinks Earl Grey. And plainly I'm not as Picard-like as I thought, as I can't stand the stuff. Perhaps it tastes nicer in the 23rd century?

Date: 2007-06-12 05:13 pm (UTC)Oh, man, it's 3am. I'm not right in the the head.
Also, I'm Deanna Troi, apparently. *is afraid*

Date: 2007-06-12 05:25 pm (UTC)Make it so!
Date: 2007-06-13 10:31 am (UTC)If they'd included all the series I think I'd have ended up as Hoshi Sato. I don't have enough gravitas to be Picard.

Date: 2007-06-12 05:54 pm (UTC)I liked Troi when she had a certain hair style, the crown of hair swept up and then falling down her back.
I also noticed recently that Beverly Crusher uses a BOATLOAD of makeup. Cripes.
(Mr. Aerama got a bunch of collections; we've been watching the Q Files of late. I like Q. He's so magnanimously annoying)
You know, Q should have been an option on that meme.
And I am interested in the Carrots, just wasn't on last night, so now!
... Intriguing...
Date: 2007-06-13 10:37 am (UTC)You were so close to being Data!
Q (my Q, I mean, not the one on Star Trek, that would be too wierd) thought I was going to be Data.
Troi isn't as awful on a rewatch as I remembered, though she's incredibly bad at sensing anything useful and I find her obsession with chocolate a bit tedious.
I just can't figure out Beverly Crusher's hairstyle - there's no continuity to it at all. Pretty hair, but they should have worked harder to be consistent. Hadn't noticed the makeup, but I don't approve - I can't believe it's sanitary around patients.
Re: ... Intriguing...
Date: 2007-06-14 02:43 am (UTC)More and more I am becoming enamoured of Q all of a sudden. Didn't know he'd been in Shakespearian plays along with Patrick Stewart, though. Interesting!
I do enjoy Data. Especially when he's playing Sherlock Holmes. Hmm! Another connection!! *runs*
Re: ... Intriguing...
Date: 2007-06-14 07:43 pm (UTC)And Data's fun as Sherlock Holmes, though I'm not sure he gets him quite right - lacks his manic streak.
Re: ... Intriguing...
Date: 2007-06-17 03:13 am (UTC)What I really enjoyed from those episodes was the person who played Moriarty, and I cannot remember his name; all I know is he was the butler on "The Nanny" which was a sitcom over here, don't know if it was shown over your way. I was quite taken by his repressed malevolence.
I seem to have a thing for repressed malevolence, if done right! - Q does have redeeming factors, not the least of which he is very, very charismatic.

Date: 2007-06-13 04:16 am (UTC)Mr. Scott 85%
Jean-Luc Picard 75%
Chekov 75%
With my fly-off-the-handle personality and ingrained cynicism, I was sure I'd get McCoy.

Date: 2007-06-13 10:40 am (UTC)I thought I was going to get Data. I don't have the gravitas of Picard, and I share Data's ability to completely misread situations...
