With our large (ca. 30% of the population) Chinese community here, Chinese New Year is a big thing. But for some reason, here it's referred to as the Year of the Boar. Which is stupid, as even I know it's supposed to be Pig. I think it's just a bad marketing ploy, as for the non-asian population pigs have a bad rap.
