My Snape-goes-to-Valhalla-by-mistake fic, The Hall of Heroes, is now up at Fiction Alley! Slightly revised to make it compliant with HBP - even so, it makes rather big assumptions about Snape's essential goodness which may or may not be canon-compliant, but I can't help that.
Summary: In which Severus Snape finally gets his just deserts - or does he?
Contains mistaken identity, Giants, horned helmets, mead, "the Ballad of Severus the Small and His Tiny, Tiny Stick" and the final fate of all good Death Eaters.
And yes, I do know that the traditional Valhalla of Norse legend is actually where human heroes wait around for the Final Battle in which they ride out and slay Giants. That's why I don't actually call it "Valhalla" at any point in the story. But it just keeps slipping out when I try to publicise the thing...

I was initially a bit wary after seeing the summary - fearing Snape-bashing or complete slapstick. Totally unfounded worry. Go read this! It's hilarious, insightful and features a great Snape-voice. One of the best humourous takes on Severus Snape and the HPverse I've had the pleasure of reading! And the digs at the "good" and the "evil" side made me alternately nod my head fervently and smile spitefully....
If you want to read only one Snape gen-humourfic dating post-HBP - go and read this one! You won't regret it ^_^"

Dear me - that's the second summary that's almost turned a good reader away. In some ways, I find the summary the hardest bit of all - too longwinded is bad, too short is useless, too crowd-pleasing makes it sound tacky...
Though at least so far I've managed to steer clear of "I scuk at summeries LOL"...
Anyway, thanks so much for dropping by to say you liked it. Much appreciated!
