Because it seems like forever since I've done one of these. Pinched from the lovely [livejournal.com profile] lyras .

Name a character from one of my fandoms, and I'll give you either:

(a) three facts about them from my personal canon/fanon,
(b) a reason he/she sucks,
(c) a reason he/she is awesomecakes,
(d) five things that never happened to that character, or
(e) five people that character never fell in love with and why.

You pick the character. I pick the letter.

My fandoms: Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Wheel of Time, Vorkosigan Saga, Dorothy L. Sayers, Mina de Malfois, anything else you think I might know and could be drawn out on.

See Saturnalia, and his presence in Britain for Quintus' trustworthiness, I think. (Also, the time he dragged poor Claudia through the desert in search of silphium)

I am, though, waiting for Aulus to turn up married to a plain girl with no money, and shock everyone by considering her on par with Juno, Venus, and Ceres combined.

Alexandria does look good, doesn't it? Especially Pa, who will probably try to flog off various fake manuscripts. Also, considering travel time, how pregnant is Helena likely to be?

I take your point about Saturnalia - am less convinced about Britain though - wasn't he trying to seduce a barmaid all the time? Which turned out to be in the interests of the case in hand, but only with the benefit of hindsight?

I think you could trust Justinus to the death in a genuine emergency, but I'm not convinced that he would stay trustworthy if left to wander off!

It's my personal opinion that Albus is being set up as a match for Falco's ward Albia. I'm not sure if I think this is a good thing or not...

You mean Pa's coming too in Alexandria? Then it will be fantastic - worth queueing for hours for!

I think that the fact that he went to Britain, and didn't tell his wife suggests a certain untrustworthiness.

I can see that Aulus is being set up, and like you I'm unsure- he seems so desperate to be respectable, and she isn't, and can't be barring a miracle.

Oh yes, "Their involvement in local affairs already seems shady when they are joined by their crony, Falco's father, Geminus, a man well known for disreputable business practices. If the irrepressible Pa has had any hand in what has gone wrong at the Library, Falco knows he stands no chance..."
