I love netspeak and l33t when it's used for humor. It seriously cracks me up and I can chuckle for hours over a well-use "teh", "Interweb", "hai thar".

"OMG", "LOL" and "WTF" are absolutely essential to my ability to communicate meaningfully and cleverly online. I can't imagine life without them.

My absolute favorite though is "pr0n". :D

Y HALO THAR PNEZWOODZ LOL WTF

Great, aren't they?

(I'd always assumed that pr0n was just to get round censors - but is it actually l33t?)

I was just talking about FTW! with somebody the other day, and how we both initially thought it stood for "fuck the what!" before learning that it actually means "for the win!" I still secretly think of it meaning the first thing in my mind, though. FTW!

KTHANKSBAI!

I like other people's suggestions, too. Heh, clearly netspeak has more of a hold on me than I realised.

KTHANKSBAI!

Actually "pr0n" predates l33t, but as it was definitely proto-geek-speak (dyslexics, the lot of them), l33t be not proud. ;D then.

I've grown very fond of "lolcat" - particularly the favorite "I'm n Ur [noun] [verb]n Ur [object]."

In that case, have you read "Have His Carcasse" by Dorothy L. Sayers, retold in lolcats by [livejournal.com profile] nineveh_uk?

Brilliant - I've been wondering what FTW meant for ages... like you, I couldn't imagine it not including the F-word!

Agreed - what's not to love about ZOMG?

The A-one is a bit stranger - I can't quite figure out where that comes from...

KTHANKS!

It's good, isn't it? I've seen owl-macros of it too..

I cannot live without "DO NOT WANT!", and many other lolspeaks.

I keep catching myself saying "Ohmgee" to customers at work, which kind of undermines my ability to speak to them authoritatively about their haemorrhoids.

And I spent it wrong - how terribly uncool and grown-up of me. :)

I sekritly like any version of FAIL, as in EPIC FAIL - and obviously conscious misspellings of poor words. :-)

And I'm still trying to work in a "blah blah blah whatevercakes" into conversation but so far I've lacked the opportunity.

(annoyingly, I've just ditched my T'pol OMGWTFBBQ icon in favour of this one...)

DO NOT WANT is definitely becoming a favourite. Just wish I didn't feel called upon to use it quite so much...

I keep catching myself saying "Ohmgee" to customers at work, which kind of undermines my ability to speak to them authoritatively about their haemorrhoids.

LOL

Some things are possibly better left in netspeak. Whispering "Oh my God! Haemorrhoids! Yuck!" doesn't strike me as that authoritative either... *g*

FAIL is good. Also MADE OF FAIL.

I've not heard "blah blah blah whatevercakes" yet - plainly I'm falling even further behind the times...

I wonder if that came from the tv show Seinfeld? I cannot remember. I don't think I ever heard it firsthand, just seen it. Crazy times!

"MADE OF FAIL" is good and I feel like I should make it into a stamp.

BTW I love your raven theme so much that I had a dream I changed mine to the same thing - and then mourned the loss of my blue Triangles. Me & change = not so good.

Your blue triangles are very you.

You might have fun checking out [livejournal.com profile] cute_moodthemes, where I got the ravens from, though - there are several others, including a crane series, that I like just as much.

I don't think I should be allowed a MADE OF FAIL stamper, because then I'd NEVER STOP STAMPING!

I suddenly think you should have that stamper, and pronto. The world would be a better (if inky) place.

Aww! I do love my blue triangles. I am tempted sometimes to 'dress them up' - pink triangles, for instance. Or triangles with capes.

I have become quite partial to 't3h???' but am not sure if it counts now, because I've spoken it aloud any number of times. XD

Stage directions are also good. *snickers, wondering if you've seen the Lolcat Bible yet*

In tones of astonishment (excitement/outrage optional): TEH!!

And yep, that's the one. I discovered it by accident and laughed for hours.
