I can see what you mean. On the other hand, Holmes has a very pronounced Bohemian streak as well - tobacco in a Persian slipper, investigations into the Giant Rat of Sumatra etc - not to mention a fondness for stimulants! Which doesn't rule out him liking tea altogether, of course...
