Because it seems like forever since I've done one of these. Pinched from the lovely lyras .

Three facts about Dr Phlox (and thank you for chosing him - he's one of my favourite Enterprise characters!)

1) The frequent digestive upsets of Porthos the dog are in fact the side-effects of Phlox's nearly-harmless medical experiments to induce super-intelligence in mammals. He blames unusual symptoms on Archer's habit of feeding the creature cheese, secure in the knowledge that Archer is incapable of resisiting Porthos's pleading eyes in the interests of his health. So far Porthos has shown few signs of unusual intelligence, but Phlox is confident that he can explain that away too, if it ever becomes too obvious.

2) While Phlox deeply regrets having fallen out so spectacularly with his son, he regrets far more deeply confiding this fact to anyone on Enterprise, as almost all the crew are congenital blabbermouths, and now everyone knows all about it. He now keeps getting sympathetic looks, which he hates.

3) Phlox is very fond of T'pol, but disapproves deeply of a lot of her philosophy, which seems to him joyless to the point of self-harm.
